Hi, I’m Katie—a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, SUDP) based in Lake Stevens, Washington. I believe meaningful, lasting healing happens at the intersection of clinical insight and somatic awareness.
Emotional health is not shaped by thoughts alone. It is deeply connected to your nervous system, past experiences, and the physical ways your body stores stress and overwhelm.
My practice bridges traditional talk therapy with body-centered modalities—including somatic processing, Brainspotting, and specialized muscle testing. Together, we work to release stored tension, regulate your nervous system, and restore balance from the inside out.

A scientific explanation for distanced muscle testing would be described as “quantum
entanglement” which allows the client and practitioner to work with one another despite their
distance. Another term this can be recognized as is “intercession”. When we are interceding in
prayer for another person, very real things are happening for that other person during that time.
The practitioner will intercede on behalf of the client using their own body to muscle test
throughout the appointment.

If you are someone who has tried several modalities to address a symptom but have found little relief, this can be an alternative and different experience. The Emotion & Body Code helps clients bring information from their body (unconscious) to their mind (conscious). As the body brings awareness to the unprocessed information, the body begins to let go and process the information.
Sometimes other modalities will address only what is only conscious to a person.
While this is extremely helpful, often times the body needs to identify information that is below the conscious mind.

While I believe every person can benefit from this modality, this service truly works best for
people with an open mind and readiness to heal. A healthy level of skepticism is welcomed,
encouraged, and respected, as skepticism is our natural defense to ensure something is safe.
However, heavy doses of skepticism may block the practitioner and client from making progress
on any deep level.
